2 cats or 1?

We are getting a cat, and have two daughters, 6&2 who are both used to cats and very gentle with them. The cat is 14 weeks old, the lady who has them said I should get two as they play together. My question is what's better? The cats are siblings just don't know what's better one or two, and which genders?

It depends on whether youк family if ready for having 2 cats or not. It`s very nice that they play together etc but you will be the one to take care of them and this not a funny game. This lady just wants to kill 2 birds with 1 stone but you are to decide if you will be able to be a good owner for two cats

They've been here since November 2nd and very well settled. Like they've always been part of the family! Thanks for your advice
