Hi,

At what age is it safe to remove your cat net for your cot?

no idea - thought you were looking for a mumsnet about cats

I didn't bother with one at all, because the cat took one look at dd and decided she wasn't ever going anywhere near her! Dd is now six, and the cat still keeps as far away from her as she can.

How old is your baby?

sushipaws · 08/08/2007 17:58

My DD is just over 4 months. My cat isn't the brightest button in the box and will cuddle up to anything warm.

I would think when the baby can move away of her own accord - about 1 year?

Not that I bothered to use a cat net and I had 2 cats - I used to make sure that the bedroom door was shut

my (remaining) cat loves to sleep with people - he often sleeps on my 5 yr old's bed these days

Kept the door shut for the first 2 months but was woken every night by the cat singing at the door. It didn't get any better after all that time.

We have a pet gate from argos up at DD's door. He cannot jump over it (higher than normal gate) or get through the bars !

If we shut the door, he wails very loudly and then rips the carpet up
