Sexing kittens........can anyone help?!

We have 2 kittens who are around 3 months old now. When we got them we were told that they were both boys. I wasn't convinced and had a look at some places online that showed how to tell but I'm still not 100%! If they were boys would it be blatantly obvious by now?

yeap.

basicly on the girls you see a pink circle which is basicly their bottom. on the boys there is another pink bit slightly below.

as they get older the lower pink bit ( their testicles) get bigger and very obvious

So on boys, is the lower bit a very definare circle? These two have a more vertical bit which is joined on to their bottom - if that makes sense?!

We will ask the vet when we get there eventually but they are sadly indoor cats for the time being and just need their names clarifying!!

We have 5 kittens at the moment who are 7 weeks old and it is obvious which are boys and which are girls.

Girls look like an upside down exclamation mark, bum hole at top with a line extending down from it and boys look like a colon, a bum hole and another circle a couple of cms below with a space in the middle for the testicles. Hopefully that makes sense

PS anybody want a black kitten?

I also have a house full at the moment, already have 2 old cats and a dog, 2 kids under 3 and a husband but I am fostering a cat and her 5 kittens who were dumped at our local vets. We just need to find homes for the 3 black kittens. We are keeping one kitten just wish I could keep them all

We're in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

They are 7 weeks old today, are de-fleaed, de-wormed, litter trained and of course very beautiful (2 female, 1 male)

You are unfortunetly too far from me, we're on the South Coast. I would have been very tempted otherwise. Good luck finding homes, you are very kind fostering them

Could I really newlife? We just can't decide and if one is a boy then we need to get them soerted asap as they are from the same litter.

God I feel weird taking pictures of their bums pmsl!!

Carwillan, we are looking for 2 black female kittens. Am I right in thinking that's what you have? We wouldn't want to take them away from their mum til they were about 13 weeks.

mimizan - yes we have 2 female black kittens.

I really wanted them to go by 1st September as that is when I go on holiday as they will be all but 12 weeks then and I really don't want to give anyone else the responsibility of looking after them or putting them back in a cage in the vets.

We aren't back from holiday til 2nd sept and it probably won't be good to take them somewhere else first.

We are in the NW but dh travels south at least once a week.
