Wild Bird Feeders

I’ve been looking at bird feeders and the perches on them. I note they are mostly a small straight perch however I have come across some that are ring perches, or you can get attachments to make them ring perches.
I’d be interested to hear peoples views on them, which you think is best and if anyone has used both the birds preference / difference in behaviour.

I think different birds prefer different perches.

I always have two different feeders as some of the bigger birds prefer one over the other whilst we also attract birds like nuthatches as they can cling upside down on one which had a metal cage to hang onto.

If you want to attract certain types of birds I would see which type of perch or feeder they prefer.
