Dog ate algae wafers

Hi all,

So tonight my 7 y/o springer spaniel decided to go up my stairs and into the DS's room where she has her own fish tank somehow managed to open the tube of algae wafers and ate most of them.

Will he be ok? Should I be contacting the vets?

No idea whether they are toxic or not but I would have phoned my emergency vet number (your vet should be linked to an out of hours number if in the uk) as they could advise over the phone.
