Well, we have gotten ourselfs a little Kitten yesterday. Was all a bit of a quick thing, because he was advertised on Freecycle, as the people were desperate to re-home the lil guy, as their daughter had quite severe allergic reactions to the Kitten, and all teh re-homing places couldnt help until a bit later.
Anyway, that is how he ended up with us, and he is an adorable black Kitten. They already named him Charlie ,but thanks to BB I really don't like the name Charlie all that much, so, pondering about a nice name (our dog is called Ninja...so, maybe Samurai, and Sam for short, hm...).
Must say, even though I grew up arounds cats, I relaly don't know all that much about taking care off one, and am wondering if anyone knows of good cat care wwebsites, where I can find out about all things cats....like vaccinations, etc....!
Thanks in advance!

Our cat is called Philomena, but known as Beanie-cat .

lol at Beanie cat...
well, this morning the lil guy looked rather serious, and I said to my son, that maybe we should call him Serious Black (Harry Potter, lol)....but it isn't really a cat name, is it!

Not sure about cat-care websites - I'm sure I have looked at one but it was a while ago. I'll let you know if I remember.

Well, we just decided on a name for the little guy..."Shinobi"...which actually means Ninja, lol...so, goes nicely with the dogname....

He is right now snuggled up on my lap....awww...and the dog has very much calmed down about him now...which is brill!

it was always going to be a name you love or hate

(I have a jet black rehomed cat btw - she was called midnight when we rehomed her)

We had a lovely little black cat called Marley

www.fabcats.org/

A good website.

What about Sooty?

mslucy · 13/07/2007 15:15

I've just inherited a cat called Kate Moss (because she is thin).
Our other cat is called Rocky (because he's hard)
Am slightly scared of what rocky could do to Kate so they're being kept apart at the moment.

re: black cat.
there must be a good Harry Potter name in there somewhere.

Malfoynomore · 13/07/2007 15:39

had been thinking about a Harry Potteresque name....but the more I say Shinobi out loud, the more I like it
Right now Shinobi is hanging off my lap, lol, well, he is asleep and his little backlegs are hanging down, and the dog is lyng under my feet, I think we can safely say that things are getting settled
If I only could get the lil ones to be a bit more respectful of lil Shinobi, because they try picking him up all the time, but in a way that looks painful (ys is 3 next month so still a bit heavy handed, rather then being nasty)
lol at Kate Moss and Rocky....that made me giggle, I am sure they will be fine once they get to know each other
lol aDad
Marley and Sooty are both lovely names, but we sort of wanted to keep the theme, I suppose, lol....
