Last night late about 11, cat was in middle of garden cleaning herself, I was getting the washing out of the drier.
Bloody massive cat noises and see massive owl trying to fly off with the cat
Cat fought like cats do and got dumped from about 30ft, she is fine, shaken but fine.

Is this totally bizarre surely at this timeof year there are TONs of rabbits and mice out?

geekgirl · 12/07/2007 10:13

what an ambitious owl

glad to hear your cat's ok

MorocconOil · 12/07/2007 10:15

That sounds bizarre. Is she quite a little cat? It must have been terrifying for her.

magnolia1 · 12/07/2007 10:15

I am also torn between and
that the owl was that brave and that your cat is ok.

kiskidee · 12/07/2007 10:16

birds - 1
cats - 8,999

PestoMonster · 12/07/2007 10:17

Wow! I've never heard of that before. I do hope she's ok.

Piffle · 12/07/2007 11:58

yes small cat, big claws
she seems fine thankfully but now sits under dd's climbing frame den to clean herself!
Judging by the amount of blood and feathers cascading around I suspect the owl is a little more worse off.

fedupwasherwoman · 12/07/2007 12:00

Perhaps she was just looking particularly delicious last night

Nbg · 12/07/2007 12:00

Awww poor thing.
What a bizarre thing to happen!

We went to a friends last night and to cut a long story short their cat was run over on Monday, had its manhood and Uretha ripped out but has survived and is cming home today hopefully.

Gingerbear · 12/07/2007 12:02

OMG! Totally wierd. Like something from Harry Potter.
Maybe the owl (golden eagle sized??) thought that she was a rabbit?
Bet the owl won't be doing that again in a hurry.
I hope she is OK Piffle!

WendyWeber · 12/07/2007 12:03

LOL at her sitting under the climbing frame now - what a smart cat

themoon66 · 12/07/2007 12:05

Maybe all the little birds got together to hire an owl hit-man.
