just got a new puppy who has started eating everything in the garden he can get to. including moss, twigs leaves etc. we have removed everything else out of reach. and when you go to him to get the foreign objects out of his mouth he bites down very hard. we are trying to be patient with him hes only 9 weeks. does any one know if any of this could be harmful and also what can we do about the biting, will he grow out of it.thanks.

try giving him his own specific toy and replacing objects with it every time he chews something.

generally it is a slow process of play and getting him to associate with his own toys but they need a lot of attention and supervision when young.

Get him a kong and start clicker training him not to chew. Puppies inevitably chew a bit though - they are teething
