Recurrent giardia - puppy

Hi, my 6 month old cocker pup has had giardia off and on for a good 2 months now. He took a course of panacur, seemed to be completely better, then after a week was sick again. He had stool samples taken, which showed giardia and clostridium. The vet ordered another dose of panacur, but he only got worse, so went on metrobactin for about a week and seemed totally better again. A few days after finishing the course, he was ill yet again. He is now on his second course of metrobactin, and after 2 days of drugs is better again. We will have stools tested again.
What now?? I feel bad for my darling pup. He is the sweetest thing and I want him to be well. He is doing great otherwise, happy, bouncy, waggy.

Giardia is really tricky to get ready of you have to work your way through the protocol of drugs.

What comes after Metrobactin Lone?

A combination of fenbendazole and metronidazole for sometimes up to 28 days. Do you have other pets in the house? Have they been treated?
