Cats - what do you use for flea and worming treatments?

I've always found what to give my 2 outdoor cats very confusing. I gave them Advantage and Droncit Spot On last month which covers Fleas, ticks and tapeworm. But don't I need something else to cover other worms? My vet has just told me they could have Advocate, which is quite expensive (but i would do if that's the only option)

What does everyone else use?

Stronghold Plus for fleas and some worms - monthly
Profender for the remaining worms not covered by the above - 6 monthly
