Kittens prefer adult food.

Hi I have two three month old kittens who are doing great. They used to steal their mums dry food so we picked up a bag of the food they were eating along with a kitten version and mixed the two.
They have wet food every other evening and eat anything they are given but they seem to prefer the bigger kibble of the adult food.

Do I need to continue with kitten food, possibly mixing adult food which is an expensive way of doing it. Or can I just buy adult food?

As mentioned previously they get wet food so have lots of protein in their diet and kitten food didn't used to exist so not sure if it's as important as made out.

Thanks.

Kitten food is higher in calories - so it helps them during this explosive growth phase.

What brands are you using - just wondering why the mixing is making it expensive.

My kitten is five moths now -eats lily’s kitchen wet and dry, applaws wet and dry and thrive wet. All kitten varieties. She is a fussy little monster, so will get bored of there isn’t variety, she is also teething at the minute so the dry food is hard for her to eat.

I would feed their daily allowance in wet kitten food to make sure they fwt the calories they need then let them graze on adult dry food if they want.
