We moved into our house in July last year and there was evidence that mice were there: poison, droppings etc. We saw live mice shortly after so we paid a pest control expert over £70 who put bait down and monitored the situation. Thought he'd got rid of them. we blocked all entry routes into the house but we've started seeing them again over the last few weeks. We live in a semi rural area so I suppose it's just one of those things, but they're unhygenic and tbh I'm shit scared of the little buggers and desperate to be rid of them once and for all! House is covered in bait, traps out every night but nothing seems to be working. Any advice?? Do those plug in sound frequency things work? They're quite expensive so don't want to shell out for nothing (btw we are clean and sweep up crumbs regularly! )

We got a plug in thing - it seemed to work for about 3 weeks, then the mice must have invested in earmuffs because it certainly doesn't work anymore. A few weeks ago a great big mouse ran underneath the plug in. May be our mice are deaf?

At the moment I have a labrador on guard, tail twitching, ready to pounce.

Hi My DP is a pest conttroler and no those plug in things dont work, the reason you have mice again is becuase of the weather turning, they will come into the dry warm conditions as it is prefable. Sounds like you will have an on going problem and may need a annual/6 mnth contract where you get a visit every 6 weeks to rebait and remove any dead ones- hope this helps!
