Cat trying to get out!

Gertie keeps throwing herself at the Flatcat screen trying to get out. Worried that the Velcro might give and she will fall out of the window (long drop down) Anyone else had this problem? Other than keeping window closed in this heat any idea wise MNs?

Could you get a harness and take her out for a walk

Why can't she go out of the door like other cats do? Mine love being out in this weather, mainly in shady places. I put a big bowl of water outside in case they are thirsty. In the winter it's difficult to get them to stir but they are elderly. Young cats need to be out and about.

dementedpixie We did try the harness and a walk on our roof terrace but she couldn't wait to get inside again!

Rebecca36 Gertie is an indoor very nervous rescue girl about a year old. We live in a block of flats with a roof terrace and windows with a long drop covered by a velcro edged net which up to now has been
successful. Not all cats are outside cats. Thank you for your helpful advice.
