How do I stop my froglets from croaking it?

Ds was given some Tadpoles a couple of months ago and every time one turns into a frog it dies. We were hoping to release them all together and would really appreciate some advice in the best way to keep them alive!

Do they have some way of getting out of the water, and somewhere dry to sit?

If not, that'll be why they're dying.

Put some stones into the water for them to climb onto - you'll probably need to put several in of different sizes to make a sort of beach because they can't climb very easily.

They have somewhere to climb out. I'm sure I'm not providing the right type of food for them and we've decided to release them one at a time now as they become litle frogs.

We had tadpoles - froglets - frogs when I was at primary school !! It was a while ago now, but if I remember correctly, we used to tie little pieces of minced meat to cotton and dangle it over the top of the tank. They also had some stones they could crawl out onto.
Had great fun catching them every morning after they'd escaped during the night !!

kittylette, I felt a bit stupis boiling lettuce for tadpoles but I'll give it a go if it'll make them live.

sohappyicouldcry, ds's playgroup feed teirs bacon, so maybe we could try any meat.

Tadpoles need some meat protein when they start turning into frogs in order to complete the metamorphosis. They are veggies as tadpoles, and don't have certain amino acids - so thay have to eat meat based proteins to get it so thay can becomes frogs otherwise they get stuck at the 'taddy with back legs' part.
At least that is what I am sure I read somewhere.....
