Moving to a main road area with cats

My partner and I have 2 cats both age 3. They are outdoor cats but don’t tend to stray too far from home. At the moment we are in an estate at the very end so don’t get much traffic but we are opposite a train track the cats just seem to stay at the back near everyone’s gardens.
In a few months we are moving to a new house right in town with a nice big garden to the back but at the front is a busy road, it’s a 30mph limit but cars are near enough constant. I’ve never seen cats around the front of the house before

Do you think it’s too risky to move them there or they may be okay? We don’t have children so the cats are like our babies and it would kill me for them to get hurt. I considered making them indoor cats but I’m worried that would stress them out.
