People who've owned more than one cat, what differences do you notice while stroking them?

So I have this new cat. Unlike other cats I've owned,when I stroke her back legs, she gets jumpy (maybe she's ticklish). She is a from Oman so maybe that's the reason. Also she is the only cat I've owned that enjoys being under the duvet as opposed to being on top. Probably because she is from a hot country.

As she is new, I would wait for her to come to you. We had to do that with one of our cats. The other one was friendly from the beginning

One of my cats you stroke him and he will stay lying or sitting nicely. He doesn't go under the covers but doesn't mind it. The other one of you stroke her she sticks her bum in the air, gets up and walks around in a circle, kneads you, it's a bit of an (annoying) performance

I have 3 cats

Tortie (had her about 2 years) forceful head bumps & has probably sat on my knee twice in that time. If I do fuss her, she’ll try to take my hand off. But she will sleep on top the duvet next to me

Black ball of fluff: very nervous, but adores a fuss & will drool all over me - but rarely settles on my knee - loves her back scratched

Ragdoll - has no concept of personal space. Will give me a wash, sleep with his cheek on mine, gives full on hugs & likes to sleep between me & DP

They are very different....obviously as their slave I just comply to their wishes....

One cat hated his head being touched but loved a chin tickle another just liked head to toe even his tail being stroked third hated her side being touched she would nip if you touched her there but loved head rubs

All different

My two are originally from India and lived there til they were 2. They are often found under the duvet cover and love the sun.
