Guinea Pig book

We’re going to get a pair soon and would like to get a decent book on their care so I can get properly prepared before we start looking and involve the children. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also what are people’s thoughts on keeping them inside and outside? Do people do both, or are they best inside with outside run in nice weather?

Not sure about the books, but my daughter prepared for her piggies by watching some really great little YouTube videos... There are lots of really informative ones, often by other children.

Thanks that sounds good for the kids, I guess I’m old fashioned and still want a manual! The children are quite small and I want them to help but it’ll be me and I just want to refer to something.

I agree with helium, there are loads of videos on Youtube. We got a very basic book on GP care before we got ours, I think it was the cheapest one available on Amazon and that was okay, but I assume you want something a bit more child friendly than that even.

Our (very spoilt) pigs live indoors permanently which has it's advantages and disadvantages but it works best for our family. The guinea pigs are very social/playful with us too which I reckon is a result of this.
