I have 2 rabbits and tonight my girls asked to bring them indoors for the first time since we have had them and they have loved it, the rabbits have loved it aswell, just hopping around then stopping for a lay down on a cushion, - very sweet,

so i am just wondering what people do with house rabbits at night and during the day when out at work etc? i wouldnt want to leave them out due to the cat?

also could they be kept in hutch outside and just brought in sometimes?

any advice gratefully received

thankyou

our rabbit lives inside for the winter, and runs around the kitchen for exercise..we used to let her run round the whole ground floor ,but she ate too many wires and soft furnishings... and in the summer, she lives in a big run in the garden.....and is brought back in at night....she runs around the kitchen with the dogs, but i have to be in the room as they have had the odd scrap !

i used to let my outdoor rabbits in the house too and put them back outside but you have to be careful they don't get too hot with central heating

We have a rabbit that lives in an enclosed patio area adjacent to our lounge/dining room. We open the patio doors first thing in the morning and let the rabbit roam and pop him away at night. The children love it and so does Barnaby!

southeastastra, do you put her back into cage at night time or when your are out?

we have corner sofa and they have hopped about on that happily , now snuggled up together in corner asleep, i feel cruel to put them back outside
