Hiya, recently got a kitten (she's lush!) Today we had our first bet visit & they mentioned the Pet Health Club....seems interesting but wondered if anyone had used? Any comments greatly appreciated

The vet should go through it with you to show you how much you'll save on basic treatments and things. We subscribed for our dog and its worth it in flea treatments and worming tablets alone!

Also you can't edit, sadly

If your planning on keeping up on flea and worming treatments and vaccinations its worth it.

They are a way of tying you to a practice. However if you intend to keep up with vaccinations and monthly flea control it's worth doing. You will pay less than this would cost you over the year. You'll also get microchipping too so will save a bit more in your first year especially as the initial course of vaccines is more money.

I advise clients it will save them a bit of money and spread costs. You get a few extras like pedicures and a 10% discount.

The caveat is that not everyone finds the need to deflea monthly. I only need to deflea my dogs once a year in the summer. However the optimum is to keep up monthly treatments and cats are out and about a lot more.

If I had a new kitten I'd take it for the first year and then reconsider the following year depending on my anti flea/parasite protocol.

Thanks for the quick replies. Definitely want to do the best for her & will keep up flea & worm treatment & boosters etc. Seems worthwhile in the long run me thinks 😁 thanks again

Ive just joined my vets club, after deciding it wasn't worth it. As i don't flea and worm my indoor cats monthly. But then I realised I could share the monthly flea stuff with my friends cats. As his go out and he's a bit lax about it.
