Cat with epilepsy

We are looking to get a Cat and saw one at a rescue centre yesterday. She was very sweet but has epilepsy. It is controlled by twice daily medication and she also has a blood test every 6 months.

I’ve had cats before but was wondering if anyone here has a cat with epilepsy and could let me know more about what it’s likw day to day?

Anyone with a cat with epilepsy?

My old cat hat seizures and the vet gave her Dramamine patches-I would cut off a tiny sliver and put it in her ear. When she had a fit I would wrap her in a towel and take her outside; she would pee on me and be very loving when it was over. She had very few fits.

Thank you - how often did the fits happen? I think the rescue place said they were about once a month but I’m not sure whether that was with or without medication.

We do like this Cat but want to make sure it’s right for all of us including the Cat.
