how did you cope leaving your pets behind? Did you get used to being without them with all the other distractions, or did you continue to miss them unbearably even after you'd 'settled in'?

I just managed. I had an adored cat....but the distractions of uni meant that I didn't really think about him much until I went home for the holidays.

I was fine. Guinea pigs aren’t the same as, say, a dog, though (not in the same life-changing way). Mum sent me photos via FB Messenger.
