I had my Pudy cat 11 years from 6 weeks old
He was black and beautiful
When I was pregnant in 2015 he started sitting in me and around me all the tome it turned out I was seriously ill I had sepsis and lost baby at 5 monyhs pregnant - Pudy knew I was ill.
A couple weeks ago he had a problem with his 3 rd eye lid it popped up I though he had a fight the his nose started running the weekend so we though he had an eye infection
Before he went Pudy kept staring at me purred deeply when I sat with him and looked all of a sudden really poorly :(
My husband took him to vets vets and rang me
Said Pudy has mouth cancer the tumour grows quick and pushes up his eye lid an snees to be put to sleep
I was shocked really upset and didn’t have a chance to think
Vets wanted paying immediately so I never got chance to say goodbye .... that was 5 days ago and I miss him and feel guilty that I didn’t demand he came home for goodbyes and I can’t ever have that now
Our dog is depressed and I wish we had him home for a couple days all the vets banged ina bout was £143 payment immediately 😥

You did the kindest thing putting him to sleep.
It will take a while to get over it .
He sounds like a special cat

Flowers oh OP that is so sad, I really feel for you. That is so horrible of your vet to push you like that and only be concerned about their fees. Pets are an important part of the family and loosing one so unexpectedly is so traumatic. Pudy is in a better place now and no longer suffering. I hope you are doing ok. Pudy sounds like an incredible and loving cat. Feel better soon Flowers

Sorry for your loss. My dog was 13 when she was put to sleep. That was 17 years ago and I still miss her and wonder if we made the right decision. She wasn't ill, she was just old and struggling, and the vet convinced us it was kinder to let her go than to let her live like that. But I still feel guilty about letting the vet convince us - she could have lived longer and perhaps we should have let her.
