Toy Poodle??

Really want to get a toy poodle. Have done a lot of research and know people who have them. Me and partner both work full time, is this doable with a toy poodle puppy? It would be walked daily when we returned from work. We both come from dog homes so know all the commitments that come with owning a dog but neither of us have owned a toy!

I think the answers on your other thread should tell you all you need to know - you won't get many different answers here!

Small dogs still need regular walks and interaction throughout the day. You being out all day would unfair on the dog. So no, I would recommend you do not get a dog unless you are going to make arrangements for doggy day care. Why not volunteer for dog walking at the weekends until your lifestyles mean you could manage a dog.

I would say (haven't seen your other thread yet) that a puppy is not a good idea if you are out at work all day. An adult (preferably rescue) would be better and you would have to have either a dog walker for at least an hour during the day or doggy daycare or it would be desperately unhappy and lonely. If your hours away at work/commuting are more than about 11 maximum, probably don't have a dog even with dogwalker. Also, you would need a dogwalker to walk the dog later too and give it its dinner if you are going out straight from work for the evening/coming home late.
