I've not paid for a walker myself yet but i have been a walker in the past for quite a few years of my teenagehood.

It was anything from £6-£10 an hour

Hiring someone cheap can always save you money but do be careful when it comes to dog walkers as you want your baby to be safe.

I like the fact that @Weimaragi gets pictures/videos as that keeps you updated and let's you know its safe x

Make sure your dog walker has insurance. It may be tempting to go for the 'cheap' option, but you won't have a leg to stand on if things go wrong.

£10/hr. Check their insurance policy, I turned down a walker who didn't have any.

They should be asking you lots of questions - recall, behaviour, cues you give them, commands they know, lead / harness / collar types, how to wash them off, where they can go, experience with cattle etc.

Also expect a good one to meet you for a walk with your dog and any dog they may have - most walk with their pet dogs if they have them! They need to see your dogs recall and hear your verbal commands.

£20/walk (atleast 1 hour and often 2) for 2 dogs (she only charges £15 but I always give her more coz sh is really really good)

£12 an hour (London suburbs/one dog). It was £10/hr until about 18 months ago, when I put it up as she never asked to, though I often checked with her (after 6 or 7 years at £10/hr).

I pay £9 a walk. My walker is brilliant. Hound is out the house for at least 2 hours every time (taking in to account travel times to different walks/other dog pick ups if applicable) and is always returned clean and tired. I get pictures and videos too.

weimaragi, if your name is a hint as to your breed, we have the same dog!

£10 an hr; she’s usually out for longer as the dog walker takes her to different places.
