Hi ladies
I am a 51 year old primary school teacher ( previous sales exec for 6 years) who.is looking for a career change. As a dog owner I have thought about setting up a dog walking business part time or being an intermediary for a pet sitting company like
Barking Mad ,Petstay or Holidays4dogs.
Are there any franchisee mums out there who can help.me get an idea of how this fits into your life and what it pays?
Also I live in Northern Ireland where the market has yet to be tapped into and I am wondering whether people would use either a dog walking service or a pet sitting service like the above?
Any advice or words of wisdom very much appreciated!

Hi, although not in Ireland we did dog walking/boarding for a while and it can be very lucrative. Only issue is to make money you really need to board too, it's not for everyone.. After a few weeks of boarding I had enough and depending on the dogs you walk it can also be very hard work.
But if your up for a challenge go for it's I am a dog groomer and that suits me much better, but my friend who's a walker loves her job to bits
