Fleas, fleas, fucking Fleas

I have been diligently using the really expensive spray (beginning with an I, too lazy to find it under the sink and confirm the name!) for a couple of months now, also fogged the house with rentokil bombs, one in each room.

We have flea collars, I took the day off on Wednesday to rug doctor the carpets and sofas.

But they are still here, taunting me, waiting for me to go to sleep so they can drink my blood and lay eggs in my carpet..

The animals are treated once a month, with the liquid stuff, we alternate treatments and never found one to work. I believe we have used them all.

We also have plug ins in each room giving electric signals to ward then away.

I am on the brink of burning my house down, or just giving up my pets (cat and dog), I can't cope any more!!!!

What am I doing wrong!?!

Advocate and indorex for the house is the best. And they live in the carpet. Lots of hoovering and change Hoover bag after. Sounds like you are already doing everything though. Could you look at getting someone in to flea treat the house?

Speak to your vet!! Lots of the over-the-counter flea treatments are no use, they are older chemicals and fleas laugh in their face! Veterinary products are honestly not much more expensive than pet shop ones, but they work (I'm a vet, but this is honest advice) Plug in won't work. Sprays for the house can be really useful, but need to be used correctly. The flea spends only a small percentage of its time in the pet, so treating the home is 90% of the issue.

Our vet gave us frontline... think we will need to get the professionals in! Just so frustrating!!!

Spent hundreds in treatment, indorex is what we use, I do a whole can a week...

When we got the cat, I directly rehimed him from a a family who had a lot o their plate, disabled DS (6) with multiple challenging needs and a toddler, they also had 5 other cats..

He was covered in fleas, if you stroked him you hand would be brown from flea dirt. Really sad all round. We got rid but they came back. It's like he is the pied piper of fleas..

I feel your pain!! Just hoover hoover hoover, indorex does work but flee collars don't, you need to to get flee treatment for the animals from the vet, my darling dog gets treated with a tablet every 3 months and we've never had a problem, but when we had the cats it was was like an all you can eat buffet for fleas, I have an allergic reaction to the their bites and it is was awful, bumps everywhere, spent a fortune on things that didn't work, went to the vet and within a month we were flee free, don't be drawn in by over the counter treatment, go to the vet, might seem more expensive but they really do know best, good luck x

If you are using Frontline on the cats, change it, as it doesn't work any more.
Try Stronghold.
I suggest getting either council in or private company to treat the whole house.

Have you tried bravecto spot on? I used it after advocate stopped working and it has done the trick.
