why does my cat smell?

she's about 5 months old. and she just honks. it's very cheesy. do they smell when they're in season?

has she been in peoples bins?

Anal glands-tend to get worse when they are very happy/excited-my cat Colin often stinks

she's not been in any bins - it's way too pungent to be anything exterior. I'm fairly sure it's coming from her bum - I get heinous wafts of it as she walks over me and rubs against me.

hi could it be from a war wound? twice i have found abcesses on my cat because of the smell. both times there were no obvious wounds, but i noticed the smell first. i now smell them just to check!!
