Dog sitting a pug & it just won't lie down. Not asking it to but you'd think it would low down when relaxing.

Probably stressed cause it can't breathe properly and has a brain shaped like a Tuna tin can

My pug was like that when we first got him, it may be nerves or waiting for his/her owner to return.

Soubriquet · 18/09/2017 20:44

Probably stressed wondering where it's owner is

FinallyDecidedOnUserName · 18/09/2017 20:45

Yeh - think she's missing her owner

When you say not lying down do you mean they're not just not relaxing and choosing to lie down or are they falling asleep sitting/propped up?

If it's the latter it may well be breathing-related. Lying down can really exacerbate the already obstructed breathing of extremely brachycephalic dogs so they try to sleep upright to keep their (already very diminished) airways as open as possible.

Yeah they can

It does seem to have breathing problems poor thing. Sounds like an 80 year old man with emphysema.
