Sophisticated/ funny pet names

We want to name a new budgie (colour unknown as choose it soon) and I love quirky or serious names but lacking inspiration . I will also try to look on old threads as there's must be some but I'd love to hear all your pets ' names

Our cat is called Carrot. I love naming pets after Pratchet characters. Just waiting to name s Guinea pig Detritus. 😊

I love that. I have been smiling as did discover another pet name thread from 2013 and some are hilarious. I do love it when pets are given serious names like Gerald.

I have written down:
Colin/ Malcolm/ Edward / Gerald
Shackleton
Mackintosh
Snoop
Pipkin
Biscuit
Humble
Crash

But still not sure any jump out at me! Ds (6) wants to call him Prince Giles (he mispronounces Prince Charles)

A family member has a cat called Graham

I love a serious name.

Humble was meant to be Jumble but Humble reminds me of old English names

capt the other thread had a fish called Rachel which I rather liked too

We have Pratchett names too, Lavender! In our case it's the guinea pig who is Captain Carrot.

I would have to call a budgie Beaker, I think, after the panicky squeaky lab assistant on the Muppets.

My perfect gent cat was called Kenneth.

My cat is called Nigel and it really suits the little grumpster

The latin name for a budgerigar is Melopsittacus undulatus.
So call it Attacus (vague connection to Atticus Finch, though it might possibly give the poor thing an identity crisis!)

Senua that is fabulous - I am tempted to stick to the Latin name as it sounds very learned

Nigel and Kenneth are brilliant cat names. I may have to adopt two more cats just to give them those names.

I had a pet called Snoopy... he was a horse!

You must name him Kevin

I had sister cats called Ethel and Mabel.
Another cat called George and the dog is called Conan.
I'm all for people names for pets.

We have had. Graham, Roy, Valerie, Wayne, Phillip, Marjorie as pet names but a budgie should always be called joey surely?

I had two blackmoor fish as a child that I named Tracey and Quentin
