(We think). Help! What do we do? Obviously a trip to the vet will ensue, but can I buy the medication cheaper elsewhere? And do we ALL need to be treated? I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3dds (one only 8 wks old.) Argghh!!!!

My kitten caught ringworm just before I was due to collect him (the whole litter did) and it was a 5 week course of treatment. Even though he'd finished the treatment and looked ok by the time I was allowed to bring him home, he still managed to give it to me, only in one spot but bloomin' itchy! None of the rest of the family got it and I just had some Canesten type stuff from the doctor that cleared it up in a few days.

Also, I know that one of the other kittens from the litter got the ringworm back again some time later even though he had apparently been cured.

It's not ringworm! Apparently she has "anxiety issues" and has been overgrooming. The vet took one look at my dd3
and declared that her nose had been put out of
joint when the baby arrived. I tried explaining that we have ALWAYS had a very chaotic house-I
honestly don't think the cats have noticed the baby. But we're all making an effort to give her more tlc. I'm just sooo chuffed it's nothing nasty!

my little girl 18m has just had ringworm - im such a bad mother, cleared up nicely with the canestin though. Must have got it from our dog (just died ) or picked it up from the vets.
