Choosing our puppy's name

We are getting our first pup & he is beautiful. As soon as I saw him I thought he looked like a Buster but now Diesel has been thrown into the mix.

I was hoping for some honest opinions from my fellow mumsnetters. What do you think?

Oooooh cute!!! I don't like diesel personally, round here its a certain type of person that has a 'diesel' and it's usually a staffy on a rope.....

If i got another lab tomorrow he would be either Winston or Frank

just to add i used to have a black lab called blackjack (jacki for short) he got called buster as a nickname (or puppy). I find they answer to most things as long as you say it in your stupid 'dog' voice

It's not a real suggestion but once on an almost deserted beach with my own dog 'murphy', I heard someone shouting TAXI, yup it was his dog's name.

I was walking in the lakes at new year and heard a lady say
"Come on Keith" to her yellow lab.

I like Buster but not Diesel. Dexter is good too.

Dexter & Chester are good suggestions. It's good to know the majority are with me with Buster rather than Diesel. It was my bro in law that suggested Diesel.

Just to let you all know we picked up out little cutie on Thursday and have gone with Buster. I really like the name Chester that some have suggested as well. His personality seems to really suit his name. So glad we didn't go with Diesel.
