Kitten advice

We are getting a kitten next week and would like some advice please. I have had cats before but not a kitten. Our last cat died at Christmas and left massive hole. We have a dog, she's nine and is fine with cats.

I have made space for her in the spare bedroom with lots of toys, a bed and I will put her litter in there too. This is just for when we are out or in bed. For the rest of the time she can have the run of the house.

Best advice?
Get 2. .

Your house will have more chance of staying in its present state. .

1=destruction imo.

Oh no really, it surely can't be that bad?

Also don't leave the kitten alone with the dog, no matter how good your dog is with cats. A kitten may irritate the dog and is not big enough to defend itself if it needs to.

She won't be left alone with the dog. We can keep them separate when we aren't at home.

2 is much less destructive than 1. They spend time entertaining each other.

I've always opted for run of the house as you get carpets dug up behind closed doors.

She can have th run of upstairs, it's only while we are out, while we are home she can have the run if the house.
