what made a Cat poo blood and be sick??

Not one of my cats but a friend's? She is going to take the cat to the vet in the morning and the cat is running about outside , seems happy. but should we worry?

Don't wish to alarm but poison?

I wonder if she had eaten something that upset her tummy. Apparently it was a small amount of blood after the poo. I thought at first it could have been a lower urine tract infection ( like my cat had) but I;m not so sure. Its a female cat and she is netured
