We are thinking of getting a dog in the summer and are researching what dogs are best with young children and boston terriers are one of the ones that we like.
Has anyone got one or know what they are like?

Our dd 8mths now and we're looking into getting a dog. Best breeds for families i think are border terriers or cavalier king charles spaniels. Quite like the look of whippets too . Boston terriers have quite flat squishy faces which can sometimes cause breathing probs, especially in hot weather.

I have 2 Boston Terriers, Boris and Percy and we got them after researching breeds that were good with children. They are also very easy to care for as they hardly shed any hair, don't need much, if any, grooming and only a moderate amount of exercise. They are absolutely lovely family pets and we wouldn't now consider any other breed. They have so much personality, are very comical and although they do snort and snore you soon get used to it and see it as another of their endearing features. Would highly recommend them. They are less difficult to look after than our 2 Guinea Pigs !
