What is it with me and guinea pigs????

I have an 8 month old and he is anxious and bites. So we got him a friend (who is 6 weeks old) and now he nips Which is apparently very unusual with gps.
When I get the baby out he just squeaks to be back with the older one.
They don't seem to like being apart.
Is this normal or am I crap at looking after gps?

they are still litle yet. they can nip when they have had enough of being handled as well. We had one that nipped but he was only a baby still and he outgrew it. He sadly died a year ago though.

Apparently gp's can have a bit of a 'teenager'stage (or so I'veheard) where they can act like this.

Also did you introduce them slowly,or just kind of throw (not literally ) them together.

He sounds a bit like he is establishing himself as the dominant one. Hopefully it will settle down as they sort out their hierarchy. As long as they aren't really going for eachother they should be ok.
