Who has some???
We have two Fischers lovebirds.
They are so cute, but real noisy. They answer us back. Mad things really.
What does others do?

My mum has lovebirds. They are lovely arnt they. Small version of a parrot in some ways. They are quite intelligent. Do you find the male is more vocal?

www.tailfeathersnetwork.com is a fab site for bird owners. I use it for information and advice about my Zebra Finches.

We have loads, all peach-faced, we started with 2 five years ago and rescued some, got given others, and hand raised some more, we now have 10!

They are a proper flock so we only let them out to fly when it is just us here as they go mental but they are very cute, I love them!

this site is a great lovebird site. We have managed to save the lives of at least 3 of ours for various reasons by people advising us.

Sorry....Long one.....
Yes the male is louder. I keep forgetting which is which. I'm sure the male is the more colourful one.
We did let them out after we had them for 2weeks.
Read book and it said to sit near them for a few days until they got used to you, which we did, so we put them in the smaller bedroom and opened the cage door, they chirped and flew out together and sat on top of curtain rail for a while, then flew round the room and back to rail.
Took 3 days to shut their door again, had to go in early one morning while they were eating and shut it.
They don't come out no more.
They can fly around their cage. Medium size i guess it is.
