Has anyone else got a diabetic cat?

My cat was diagnosed last week and I keep waking up in the middle of the night imagining pushing the needle through his skin. Its awful, not so bad actually doing it, as reliving it in the middle of the night, stressing out that im not going to wake up in time to do his injection at 8am...
I feel hugely responsible as noone else is volunteering to do it and just want to it to go away.
I realise this is it, and in the grand scheme of things its not a big deal, it just feels like it right now

Hi Charlie,
I know just what you mean about the feeling of responsibility and the relentlessness of it. It sounds like you're doing really well.
The injections will be second nature soon and remember you can only do what you can do.
All the best,
Spider. x

Thanks
I have rang the vet and he said to bring him in for a bloody test at the ned of the week, feed him as much as he like till then and it may mean he needs more insulin. Hopefully in the one injection thinks me
