I think my cat is pregnant!!! Help Please!!!

I think my cat is pregnant and ive only just noticed gott up this morning to find she looks a lot fatter then normal ! Anyone who Knows anything bout pregnant cats please help!! Thanks

my cat use to lick us loads for some strange reason when she was pregnant

We always have plenty of food and water down thru out the day for her.

The thing is im not a hundred percent sure she is just that she looks a lot rounder then normal and she is normally quite a slim petite cat!

She alway licks me alot so no change there

Take her to the vet

You must take her to the vet. she will need a scan so you know when they are due and that all is healthy. They can then advise you on food and after care for the kittens etc...
If you want to talk to a cat breeder, My friend does and works at a vets so she can advise you. She has a website which you can contact her through. Just say Dionne reccomended you

Thanks Dionne thats really helpful! was suposed to get her spayed but we had a housing prob and i found out i was pregnant and everything was up in the air and obviously wit my dd arrival i havent payed my cat as much attention as i use to or had the time!! Dont be silly. things like that happen all the time. Believe me I know all about 'life' getting in the way of stuff. Your still a good mum to notice that she is different and want to do something about it. Dont blame yourself hun. Good luck hope that website helps and your cat is ok xx

Just to make you feel better. My cat is a young male and out and about. He went out of the garden for the 1st time a couple of nights ago and it is the mating season so he probably found a female and could have poss made her preg! Same as you things kept taking priority and I have now got him booked for the snip on monday. You are not alone xx

anotherthing im worried bout though is i have a male cat who has had a snip so they cant be his lol wot will he do?

does he go out a lot?

He may disapear for a few hours at a time and feel a bit left out. Or if he is affectionate and soppy, he may ignore them or try and give mum a hand. they are all quite different. depends what he is like normally. Ask my friend sarah on that link (below) she knows a lot more than i do xx

My cat has just had kittens. Mine seemed to get big over night, she might stop going out so much and she will definately eat more. But get her checked at vets if you're worried.

my first cat(since taken by the road ) had kittens and we got her scanned at the vets,wasnt very expensive,about £45 if i remember correctly,it was great! i still have the scan pic hanging up framed! (sad arent i?!)
best thing to do is take a trip to vets,they will give you all the info you need,the best advice the vet gave me was buy a decent book,i got an rspcs book from ottakers nad it was really helpfull.

i assume your cat is wormed regularly? as this can cause their tummys to be bloated.

well i wormed her about two weeks ago so she shud be free from worms!! i will speak to dp and try get to the vets tomorrow! She has stopped going out so much and even when she does go out it only for a couple of mins in the garden then she wants to come bak in!!!

If i got a scan pic id prob keep it to i might not frame it though [humm] lol

where in the country are you? id love another kitten!

i live in leicestershire id love to keep all of them if she is i love kitens they so cute but i know that not possible it hetic enough with two cats a bay and a dp lol

well went to the vets and my little kitty is having babies some time in the next two or three weeks

morning!! Well good and bad news i guess ive got enough going on with looking after my 4 month old dd and now kittens, my dp isnt to happy either!!!

He didnt say how many or really any advice so am kinda in the dark still, i will defo getr in touch withthat friend of your see if she has any advice for me!!!

Hi! dont worry it will all soon be over and to be honest mummy cat will do all the looking after so hopefully you wont have to do too much. Just provide food and warmth, oh and try to be there for her when in labour! Anyway My friend Sarah will tell you all you need to know. get some old towels for your cat and try adn suss out where she will have them mine had first lot in the wardrobe and second litter in the airing cupboard
