Best interactive toy/s for my large dog?

Do these toys actually work? Our dog wants to play 24 hours a day and sometimes we need a break too. Any recommendations for a fun toy to occupy him while we have our supper?

The only toys our dog plays with involve food. We give him his kibble in a buster cube which will keep him occupied for 10 mins or so.
