Kitty vampire

So my cat is 6years old, and is pretty playful and energetic. But lately he has this new thing where he bites me. At first it would only be my hands while he played which wasn't intentional but now he comes up to me, climbs onto me and sinks his teeth into my neck or shoulder, and IT HURTS. I really want to stop him, because it will get worse if I don't. When he bites me, i say NO and put him down but then he thinks its some kind of dysfunctional game where he has to plan sneak attacks on me.
Anyone dealt with a similar issue?

When in doubt, take him to the vet, or phone your vet for some advice. Cats do change their behaviour from time-to-time and sometimes as they get older. I wonder of he's having trouble with his teeth? Distract him with a toy when he wants to take a chunk out of you. Continue to do this and hopefully, you'll see a change.

All cats like to bite when the madness comes down on them.

His teeth are fine. I had him checked fully. Vet said hes just being a brat. Which is true as he coming running in from the kitchen, jumps onto the couch and bites me like hes trying to land a kill. Yeah i am trying to work on distracting him with his teddybear. It works sometimes thankfully.
