Bonding Bunnies!

We rescued a dwarf bunny two years ago and have been looking in rescues for a dwarf bunny pal ever since.
Until two weeks ago when we fell in love with a dwarf lionhead x at pets at home.
Both bunnies are girls and in seperate cages for now and I'm looking for tips on how to bond them. Rescue Bun was speyed 2 months ago and is steady old bun, wee fluffy Baby Bun is young and nervy. Both are lovely buns, but RB is not responding much to BB.
We're introducing them in the hall, going ok so far, only a couple of bites from RB-she is outside during the day whilst BB is inside as shes too wee to be outside alone yet.
BB very submissive to RB but shes not really interested.
Any tips at all? BB would love to be friends!!

I know from a friend that bonding may take time. Give them treats together and possibly keep their cages together (assuming they are in separate).

Dwarf bunnies aren't great to mix and can be happier on there own, saying that it's more on the individual bunnies temperament.
If ones being submissive that's great and hopefully things will work them selves out just your new rabbit spayed as quickly as possible to avoid any problems as they can be really territorial as I'm sure you know. Also be careful that your pets at home bunny doesn't get too big in comparison to your dwarf as they're all mixed breeds at pah and won't be a just a lionhaired and dwarf cross. Try tea tree sprays and scattering veg and hopefully they should start to bond!

Thanks! Its going bit better now, tho RB can be slightly nippy if under stress or hungry. Ive been feeding them together on the floor before they go back in their adjoining cages. Little BB is settling lovely, binkying like a nutter!
RB I suspect may be jealous-not wanting to be caught, being a bit grumpy etc, tonight she had cuddles with me and seems happier for it! until I tried to catch her
BB will be speyed once shes older, shes actually very small even for a dwarf-all fluff! Compared to fatty RB!

May I ask what the tea tree spray is for?

Also, we put RB out in day and bring her in at night, has anyone any tips on how to catch the little bitch when shes in her outside run? we're struggling!

Tea tree spray covers up each others scent making it more of an even playing field if that makes sense, so they smell the same and won't be so competitive over dominance/area and won't feel so intimidated by the other rabbit. PAH rabbits are usually about 3/4 months so another 2 months and she should be ready to spay, although as long as it's done before hormones kick in you should be fine!

Thanks, I didnt know that about tea tree spray. Yeah, RB is busy marking everything as 'hers'! Even shoes are rubbed! If BB stood still long enough, she'd mark her! BB does try to snuggle, theres a few seconds of acceptance then RB hops over BB's head and thats it!
BB is teeny yet, so we'll likely have her speyed after new year, once shes bigger and stronger unless hormones become an issue.
I hope they become friends and snuggle together, but its going to be hard work!!
