Nearly 19 year old lady who has had gunky eye for a couple of years now. It has got to the stage now where it is both eyes. Quite thick dark discharge. There is no swelling but sometimes it is so bad now it is covering her eyeball. She can't wipe it off without help.
Other than this she's a wee bit skinnier than she used to be (but she was overweight before anyway) and a wee bit confused at times but nothing major.
She really, really hates travelling anywhere. She always has but the last time I took her out of the house was probably six or seven years ago and I thought she was going to have a stroke then. So I worry that a trip to the vets would likely see her off.
Any advice appreciated about care of old cats in general.
