My cat doesn't like milk either.

Indith · 01/02/2007 18:57

yes, mine doesn't like milk full stop.

NotAnOtter · 01/02/2007 18:58

cats should not be given milk

shonaspurtle · 01/02/2007 18:59

Mine doesn't like milk either. I bought her some of that cat milk and she looked at me like I was mad...

ChicPea · 01/02/2007 18:59

Cats should nto be given milk as they don't produce the enzyme lactase to break it down efficiently.

KTeePee · 01/02/2007 19:00

You are not supposed to give cats cows milk (but I do sometimes as a treat!)

belgo · 01/02/2007 19:01

My second cat only ever drank water.

TheArmadillo · 01/02/2007 19:02

agree with chicpea - thye shouldn't have it most (if not all) are dairy intolerent.

Also cat milk is a con - cats can't have milk (mostly) so to make it digestible to cats they basically have to take everything out that makes it milk. SO you are paying for milky coloured water with vitamins in. Unless your cat is ill or not getting a proper diet there should be no need for vitamins.

Reason no. 283 as to why I hate whiskers.

shonaspurtle · 01/02/2007 19:06

Ah! My cat is obviously a discerning consumer

dotcotton · 01/02/2007 19:10

So is ice cream bad for them? On of mine loves it so we always give her little bits. They all hate milk though.

ChicPea · 01/02/2007 19:11

My cat is on a non dairy diet and if he gets any dairy left overs from the floor by mistake his poooooos stiiiiink!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/02/2007 19:12

cats shouldnt be given milk.

gothicmama · 01/02/2007 19:14

mine neither - but it's not good for them

holidaymum · 01/02/2007 19:20

Please don't think you are "treating" cats by giving them milk you are not! As other posters have put they cannot digest milk, and it can cause problems ie sickness and diarrhoea and that you do not want!

MollieSugden · 02/02/2007 00:00

They don't need follow on milk either. Or growing up milk.

dotcotton · 02/02/2007 00:10

They don't like breastfeeding much either

No that's just not funny is it? I'm going to bed now before i make any more unfunny comments.
