advice - babies and dogs

We have 2 golden retrievers - both male.

One is very interested in our 6 month old, and lets her bang him on the head, but the other is quite nervous around her, yet is the first to run into her bedroom when she cries.

Neither has ever shown any aggression, although they sometimes growl at each other.

Should I be worried?

what do you do when the baby bangs the dog on the head/when they growl etc at each other?

are you doing much interaction at all with baby and dogs?

ie/ from J being very small we've encouraged him to do 'nicely' with the dogs, ie soft strokes, nicely iycwim, now he's a bit older we're starting with 'no nicely' bit older still and it will be no 'doggies can bite' etc.

I wouldn't leave the baby alone with teh dogs incase.

fwiw ours were the same withoutt eh growling at each other but they don't seem to take any notice now and get up and walk off/away from him.

(we have a bitch and a dog thou so might be why they don't growl at each other)
