Our rabbit died yesterday

I was worried how it would affect the boys (7 and 3) as he was their first pet and they loved him so much.
This is how it went:
Me: Boys, the bunny rabbit has died and gone to heaven to be with grandad
DS1: Cor lets have a look (runs out to check out the body)
DS2: Lets get a brown one next time (without looking up from his gameboy)
My children have no soul!!!

Kids!A friend of mine was dreading telling her ds that his gran had died, when she eventually did he said Can I have her piano!!

we found our rabbit dead at the weekend and like your two my boys were not very concerned at all, DS1 (5) just asked when we going to get another one.

DH was actually quite upset, we bought them as a pair and the 1st one was killed by next doors dog 2 months ago, just not meant to be.
