they have a hutch with a run underneath. somehow the door got opened. i went out to feed them and found them running around the garden. i did attempted to catch them, but decided to put a full bowl of food in the run, and went to deal with the rabbit, turned round and they were both back in. phew

They looked so cute running about the lawn freely.

When mine were alive..it used to run around in my BIG back garden esp under the big willow hanging tree that was touched to teh floor - they loved it sut g pigs dont run away as they are to nervous to run off but rabbits do and they've only got a 2 seconds memory

misdee · 13/11/2006 22:18

mine arent very tame. they havent been handled much and are a bit flighty (i got them earlier this year from a lady whose kids had lost interest). my garden also has a few gaps under fences wehere they could slip through. and lots of cats around. i will be getting them a big pen for the summer to run in.

can u bring them to the house to tame them abit more? as i had 2 house g pigs and 2 outdoor g pigs. i found the house ones where alot tamer than the outdoor as the house ones were used to loud-ish noises

misdee · 13/11/2006 22:35

no, because of dh's wires.

oh yea...

whilst they are outdoors they will always be nervous or unless u do spend time with them but yes defo get a run as its a bit of freedom for them..

i go out daily and chat to them (and the rabbit), the rabbit was also wild (again got him earlier this year) and have slowly got him tame and actually picked him up and held him in my arms today for the first time ever.

i mean, not a wild rabbit, but wild because he hadnt been handled.
