long haired guinea pig has become matted advice please

they have become matted towards there bottoms, i i dont know the best way to detangle them, or should i just cut it away, what is the best brush to use

i took mine to the vets who shaved their tangles for me.

Will it untangle with warm soapy water? If not then you can cut it away, depending how close to the skin the tangles are. Otherwise I would do as misdee did.

hi misdee, what did of brush do you use on them now?
how much was the vets?

i just have normal soft animal brush from the supermarket. also have a fine comb as well.
