May i ask your bill on flea treatments from the vet.
i purchased one for dog one for cat today total = £44.83
I feel i have been ripped off or is this the going rate at most vets?
The stuff does work. I am just not sure about paying that much.

lemisscared · 20/02/2015 17:06

what did you get what size dog?

AShiningTiger · 20/02/2015 17:07

about right yes.

lemisscared · 20/02/2015 17:07

all i would say is get a prescription and buy online.

What are you using for your cat? I use Advantage for mine, it costs a tenner for 4 months worth if you buy online.

Not sure of the dog's weight but its a spaniel
they charged me £17.45 for advantage spot on for the cat. They seem quite 'strict' mannered there so i am not sure would dare ask for the prescription but it does sound like a huge saving getting it on line.

Vets are now using Advantage now as it is Vet supplied only as Frontline can now be over the counter. So they are favouring this and talking about it's 'benefits' over frontline. I have 2 dogs and 9 cats and oddly am on good terms with our vet lol. He still recommends Frontline.

I can't remember what I paid for the dogs last, but atm Frontline 6 pack on Amazon for small and large dogs is £26 and I used to £27 for a 6 pack from Petsathome for the cats.
