I'm in a bit of a fix,as we're off to dubai at half term and the person who normally has the dog is also going away.I have a friend who has kindly said she'll have her ,but she's got the builders in and her house is in chaos and the last thing I want to inflict on her is another dog. She's also pregant with 2 dc's so I feel even more guilty.
My dog is 12 and too old for a kennel (not vaccinated anyway) .How much do you pay for your dog to go to someones house?

Can you pay to get a house sitter? I have no idea how much they cost but have seen in back of Country Living. Will have a look now...

On the wall in our vet is a load of different adverts from (generally) older people who will come in daily and look after pets. I would guess they would be cheaper than a big company that pays to advertise in CL! Also being 'older' they may have the time to sit with the dog and keep him company for an hour or two. The vet nurses may also do this as a sideline. worth a try. Good luck.
