Looking for a kitten

Where's the best place to find a kitten? I've only looked in gumtree so far.

I wouldn't look on Gumtree or Preloved or anywhere like that. Try Cats Protection, Wood Green etc, they usually have tons of kittens at this time of year. Also try your local vet, I've seen quite a few round here trying to rehome stray kittens.

Cats Protection anywhere will be able to help you - not just the Wood Green branch.

I didn't mean the Wood Green branch, I meant Wood Green Animal Shelter :) Any animal shelter may have kittens so have a look around.

Will do thanks! Do the cats protection league and other shelters charge for them? I don't mind paying but some people charge quite a lot!

They charge an adoption fee but they usually give the kittens their first jabs, microchip them, have a vet check them over etc. Also the money will be going to a good cause!

Please don't buy one off Gumtree. I'm sure there are some genuine sellers on there but there are also quite a lot of dodgy ones. You may end up with an unhealthy kitten that needs a lot of vet treatment so that will cost you more in the long run (vet treatment is very expensive btw, hope you have factored this into ownership).
